What are you doing to prevent abuse?

The church is rightly held to a very high standard for preventing abuse and care for the vulnerable. Its failure to maintain that standard is something which saddens and angers us more than we can say. In the Vale of Pewsey we work hard to make sure that never happens here.

‘Safeguarding’ is the skills and procedures required to prevent abuse and to spot signs of it. All our leaders must train and refresh that training regularly, as well as being DBS checked to confirm they have not in past been prosecuted for anything which would cause safeguarding concerns. See our full Safeguarding policy.
