St. Peter’s is the focal point of the Charlton St. Peter’s community, hosting village functions, coffee mornings and fund-raising activities. These community get-togethers are always well supported and enjoyed by all.
There are two 6pm services each month, where you will be warmly welcomed.
The Church also enjoys strong support with village rotas for cutting the grass and cleaning the Church.

History of the building
There has been a Church on the site of St. Peter’s since the 12th Century and the first incumbent was in 1306.
Although rebuilt in 1858 by John Loughborough Pearson, the medieval screen and ‘lepers’ squint were retained and are of great interest within the building.
