Muddy Church đł
Join us for a wander and a wonder
Tree Planting Project!
Weâre really excited to invite you and your children to be a part of this awesome project!
Sunday 22nd September 4pm
Meet at St. Johnâs Churchyard
As part of our âEco Churchâ efforts we've teamed up with âPewsey Greenâ who have obtained funding for the planting of 25 new trees and we need YOUR help to find locations for them and plant them.
âWe live in the countryside, why do we need to plant trees?â
Well lots of reasons really - come along to Muddy Church on Sunday 22nd September and find out why weâre doing this, then we'll head out for a walk around Pewsey so you can help decide where to plant the trees. Then early next year, return as a family and help plant 'your' tree!
Imagine your child walking past their tree every day as they grow up!
If you havenât been to Muddy Church before, everyoneâs welcome! It's very relaxed - we start with a prayer, go for a walk, chat about life, and then head back for hot drinks, snacks around the fire and sometimes a craft activity. This month weâll probably have a few lines of blessing prayer for our community as we go.
Muddy Church is our monthly gathering (4th Sunday of every month usually!) - a chance to be together outside, away from screens, for all ages; to go for a Wander nearby, taking time to be aware of God around us as we explore, and to Wonder about the world he gave us đ
Each relaxed and informal session meets usually at St. Johnâs Churchyard, going for a mini-adventure of about 1.3 miles (thereâs a shorter option if you really canât manage that), with graphic resources to help us think about the theme of the day - chat with others as you walk, or just have a think by yourself.
Reward at the end!
At the end back at the churchyard there'll also be a hot chocolate or tea/coffee - who knows, we might even need a cold drink(!) and a final prayer at about 5pm.
đž You can bring the dogs if theyâre well-behaved, same goes for the grandparents! Dogs need to be on a lead though - as well as possible livestock in fields, not everyone loves our four-legged friends as much as us!
Everyoneâs welcome - please come dressed for the wonderful English weather âď¸âĄď¸- thatâs all you need though; map, instructions and refreshments all provided.
